This Yin training is open to both yoga teachers and students.
Whether you’re a new or seasoned practitioner wanting to deepen your personal practice, or a teacher interested in learning and practicing the subtleties of creating and holding a yin space, this training is for you.
Anyone can learn the poses, but understanding what the practice brings to the breath, body, and mind is key to facilitating the softening and yielding required in your own practice—or in guiding others.
Through the study and discussion of asana, anatomy, meridians, breathwork, and meditation, we will craft Yin sessions that are accessible to all body types, target specific areas, and include modifications using adjustments and props.
We will explore creating space—both in the room and within the body—and practice holding that space with comfort and encouragement.
This program is ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of Yin for personal growth, as well as those wanting the skills and confidence to lead others in practice.
For those applying these hours toward a 300- or 500-hour yoga certification, a final practicum will be required.
Please note: You must already hold a 200-hour yoga certification for this training to count toward additional certification hours. Please check with your studio/teacher to confirm eligibility.
